Hidden by Love

Hidden by Love is #111 in the Camfield series and was published in November 1992. Nadina Revon is a governess to a Turkish businessman's daughter. She saves the life of a British agent, Lyle Westley, and soon looks to him to save her from an unwanted marriage! Of course, neither are who they seem to be!

On this cover, we see our couple in process of escape and hiding in a flowering bush. It's a pretty cover with the dark blue of night blending in with the bush and the clothing of our couple along with the flowers, which echo the blonde of our heroine's hair color! The scenery looks gorgeous in this early morning setting.

A Kiss in Rome

A Kiss in Rome is #110 in the Camfield series and was published in October 1992. Alina Langley had dreamed of visiting Rome but she is there incognito as the companion of her best friend! However, an Italian prince becomes interested in her along with their handsome escort, Lord Teverton!

This is a pretty cover by Forlag of our couple in a museum. I like the aspect of space and the emphasis on the statues that we see. The hero is almost a statue himself in his gray suit! The heroine is the bright spot of color and we can see that the hero is intrigued with her! Barbara Cartland's romances set in foreign places are always guaranteed to reveal a bit of history to the reader.

Loved For Himself

Loved for Himself is #109 in the Camfield series and was published in September 1992. The Marquis of Mounteagle is disillusioned after finding out that a debutante he liked isn't sweet, but scheming. He embarks on a wager to see if he can exist as a coachman and see what life is like for those not born to privilege. Soon his world is turned into a great adventure as he meets and helps Laela.

We see in this cover by Forlag, our hero rescuing the heroine from another man. We assume that she doesn't realize that he's not a coachman, because of his livery. I like all of the blue tones on this cover, which blend well one with another and emphasize the evening.

A Wish Comes True

A Wish Comes True is #108 in the Camfield series and was published in August 1992. Olivia is the late vicar's daughter and lives on the estate of the Earl of Chadwood. A new earl is arriving and she hopes that he will help her orphaned family only to be disappointed when he arrives gravely wounded. How she helps him regain his strength and heal is the plot of this romance by Barbara Cartland.

I think this is a pretty cover by Forlag, but I find all of his heroes look exactly alike! The heroine is pretty and we see them about to enjoy the sunshine and perhaps a bottle of wine?!

A Coronation of Love

A Coronation of Love is #107 in the Camfield series and was published in July 1992. Aldrina becomes the Queen of Saria due to Queen Victoria's decree. However, her husband dies and she is left to rule alone. She decides to visit a seaside village incognito after the unwanted attentions of a prince and meets Juro, a gypsy. Or is he??

I like this seafaring cover in which both our hero and heroine look very happy! We see them both casually dressed and enjoying the sea and the fine weather, along with just being together.

Seek the Stars

Seek the Stars is #106 in the Camfield series and was published in June 1992. Lady Sadira is promised, against her will, to her stepmother's paramour, in order to stop the scandal that would hurt her father. She escapes to Fez, Morocco and finds a sweet destiny!

This is an interesting cover which shows our couple getting married in a Anglican service, but in a decidedly foreign setting! Our couple are simply dressed and very happy. We also see the vicar holding his prayer book and a flower strewn room.

Love and War

Love and War is #105 in the Camfield series and was published in May 1992. Gina Lang is home from finishing school and is worried about her mother, who seems to have attached herself to a young fortune hunter! She turns to the Marquis of Mortlake for help and finds a love that is true!

In this cover by Forlag, we see our couple exchanging a kiss in a sunny window setting. The flowers and colors seem very 1970's and don't fit the regency dress of our couple and setting of the book.

Love Strikes a Devil

Love Strikes a Devil is #104 in the Camfield series and was published in April 1992. Charisa Templeton was dismayed when she found out that her beloved cousin, Vincent, was dead and her evil cousin, Gervais, was to inherit Mawdelyn Priory. However, she is elated to discover that Vincent is alive, but in danger involving Black Magic!

This is a pretty cover by Forlag of our couple. The hero seems to be reassuring the heroine. We notice some pretty flowers which echo the pink in her gown. A deep blue curtain gives a pretty cast to the white linens on the bed. It's an unusually relaxed scene for one of Cartland's covers.

The Windmill of Love

The Windmill of Love is #103 in the Camfield series and was published in March 1992. Lady Valeria Netherton and her brother visit France on their way to visit a cousin, the Duc de Laparde. On a lark, they visit the Moulin Rouge and she meets a handsome comte who thinks she is a chere amie! It seems a bit of harmless fun until her comte turns into the Duc!

On this cover by Fiord Forlag, we see the hero throwing a man out of a window! Our heroine is dressed in an elaborate evening dress with diamond jewelry. Our hero is dressed appropriately and we wonder if they are about to go out or have been so. I think the heroine's dress is very elegant and very early Edwardian in style.
